Colleen Carroll

Colleen Carroll has been in the web since college, when a fascination with databases and structured content turned into a career as a developer and eventually into running the agency she now leads. Her two decades leading high-performing digital teams were shaped by the range of seats she's held along the way, from individual contributor to strategy lead, technical lead, manager, HR leader, and executive director. Four Kitchens partners with complex organizations running large digital presences, specifically those managing fragmented digital infrastructure, stretched internal teams, and the understanding that a web platform is never truly finished.

These days her focus is building teams and systems that adapt to the technical landscape and to clients' changing needs, while staying close to the open-source ecosystem that got her here, including Four Kitchens' long-running partnership with Pantheon. She's based in Chicago, and outside of work she can be found outdoors with her family, especially out west, or with a crafting project in progress.
